Thames Valley University Welcome to Coppelia Dance Coppelia School of Dance holds classes in Drayton, Taverham, Hethersett and Dereham for ages 3 years to Graduate level. Subjects include : • Classical Ballet • Modern Theatre Dance • Tap • Modern Jazz • Lyrical Dance • Irish Dance • Gymnastic Dance • Musical Theatre Students may take IDTA Examinations in all of these disciplines. Gymnastic Dance students are also required to take Classical Ballet as part of their training, and Musical Theatre students are required to take classes in Modern Theatre Dance. Musical Theatre The Musical Theatre Syllabus with IDTA, incorporates a wide range of training in the following: • Singing (including vocal projection) • Diction and expression • Drama • Character Dance These classes are very popular with students, as they have the opportunity to study and perform scenes from well known and much loved West End and Broadway Musicals. Students Progress To enable Parents to view their child's academic progress, they are invited to watch a class at the end of the School Term.
